I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shopping blindly. A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. Clear product descriptions save time and reduce the chance of disappointment. I try to look for real photos of the insoles and soles, not only the outside of the shoe. When every picture has different colors or extreme filters, it is usually a bad sign.

If you sit in front of a screen for many hours, these small features make a difference. Having a tracking number that works on common sites is very convenient. I also started paying attention to how websites display sizing charts for clothing. Everyone has different expectations, but real photos and detailed comments are useful for everyone. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. For example, I compared cotton, polyester and mixed fabrics for similar clothing items.
